Job Description PASCALL Systems, Inc. is an early-stage medical device startup developing novel technology spun off from research labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). We are seeking a dynamic and innovative engineer to develop signal processing algorithms for a next generation wearable brain monitoring system that will be used in patient care.
This role will include tasks to:
develop signal processing algorithms for feature extraction, artifact removal, and parameter estimation at the device level to larger-scale machine learning, artificial intelligence, and control systems algorithms.
perform time series analysis of physiobiological and metadata
perform causal analysis on patients' and medical data to establish causal pathways
In this role, you will be provided with a unique opportunity to (non-exhautive list):
work with patients datasets from our collaborators (i.e. hospitals such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Stanford, etc.)
work with unique physiological data such as EEG, EMG, EDA and metadata obtained from the electronic medical records,
receive training on human subjects and handling of patients' data
receiving training on how to define, write and validate algorithms under a quality management system compliant with FDA Regulation
work with colleagues and consultants from diverse technical and social backgrounds

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, and physicians. The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills that will enable her or him to work effectively with other team members.

Qualifications *Minimum Requirements Must have Master's Degree, current Ph.D candidate or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Neuroscience or related fields *Your experience should include:
· Statistical signal processing
· Biomedical signal processing
· Machine learning and AI methods
· Real-time signal processing
· Standard software engineering practices and programming development tools
· Programming languages: Python with knowledge of standard toolboxes (scipy, pandas, etc.)
· Knowledge of basic neuroscience
· Aptitude for biomedical or neuroscience data visualization
*Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with a medical device or biomedical data
· Experience working under a certified Quality Management System by the FDA (FDA QSR) or ISO 13485
